Metal Dumpsters:
Monday & Friday (winter schedule)
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday (summer schedule)

 

 

Refuse Collection Regulations

 

All homes will be provided with a county issued can or dumpster.  Please contact the County Treasurer’s office for delivery at (435) 793-5155. Homeowner is responsible for damaged or stolen cans. 

The following items are not allowed inside cans or dumpsters:

  • Construction debris
  • Hot Ashes
  • Hazardous chemicals (oil, gas, paint, pesticides, cleaning products, tires)
  • Dirt or Manure
  • Wet items
  • Items too heavy for mechanical arm (furniture, refrigerator, etc)
  • Loose items (cold ashes, sawdust, dust, etc. may be placed in sacks inside the can)
  • Items longer than four (4) feet

Nothing will be allowed on top of the can.  Cans should not be placed under wires or trees.  Cans should be placed at least 6 feet from other obstacles such as other cans, mailboxes, or cars for the item’s protection.  Clean up of spillage from over-filled cans or items not properly sacked will be the responsibility of the homeowner.  

Pick up will begin at 7 a.m.

Friday: Noon – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Closed Sunday and Monday

 

October – April
Tuesday: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Thursday: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday

 

Waste Accepted:

Non-hazardous solid waste may include municipal solid waste, commercial waste, industrial waste, construction/demolition waste, and special waste as defined in UAC R315-1 and UAC R315-2 and PCB’s as defined by UAC R315-301-2 (53).

 

Fees Charged:

 

$25.00 / refrigerator (Freon charge)
$2.00 / tire
$6.00 / yard for all construction materials, including from your own home
$6.00 / yard for all garbage removal from businesses
$6.00 / yard for all commercial waste

 

Illegal dumping and/or failure to comply with the Rich County Sanitation Ordinance shall result in the enforcement of a $100.00 fine or thirty (30) days in jail per conviction.
